Today's snow offering in Oxford #uksnow

Found these slid in my paperwork today. Do you think @lucyducks is trying to hint at something?

Google blocking access to their own site (YouTube)

Not sure if this is a conspiracy theory or not, just run a search on Google, clicked on the link to YouTube and been told YouTube may be harmful to my computer.

The unofficial Senokian story

Been looking through some new Tactile CRM stuff on our internal version and found this as the background to Senokian. Made me laugh!

Those crazy guys at Senokian once killed a moose with a halibut!!! OMG LOL! Founded in 1678 by none other than Freddy McMentalface, this society of shoe-fondlers is frequently seen outside the Co-Op, protesting against the slavery of asparagus. Never touch a Senokian's ears, for he will curse you.

What an awesome year - thanks @huddlesuz

So after the disappointment of missing the Drink Tank awards because of Le Web (I was sure that was why I didn't win best looking male entrepreneur, or best startup outside of London), it seems things are on the up.

First up my dog Archie aka @officedog (pictured below) is top of Twit or Fit in the male category, and secondly Tactile CRM has scooped another acolade (technically that was before the DT awards) coming 2nd in the highly prestigious GAW awards.

How to test if your idea will fly

One of the best quotes from Le Web for me was by John Buckman from magnatune.com about how to see if you have a good idea:

"Try explaining your idea to a non-tech friend in a noisy pub whilst drinking. If they get/understand it, you're onto a winner"

Useful bit of advice and probably a lot cheaper than market research, although maybe not in Paris where you could be in for €30 for 2 beers.

For those of you that were there, here they are trying to fix the wifi - happy days.
